Uses: More precocious than its Northern spy cousin, the fruit has a sweet, pleasant flavor, making it very good for fresh eating. It bakes well and is a good keeper. This variety has shown good resistance to apple scab. Rootstock is exceptionally cold-hardy, moderately resistant to crown rot and cedar apple rust and very resistant to fireblight.
