Bunchberry - (Cornus canadensis)

Native to MI. Mature Height: 3-9”. A dwarf, subshrub dogwood that makes an excellent ground cover. Easily grown in average, medium moisture, well-drained soils in part shade. Prefers moist, organically rich, acidic soils. Dry soils should be avoided. White, petal-like bracts appear in spring which ripen into bright red berries loved by birds and mammals.
