Thanks to the generous donations from our community, we raised $9,452 for conservation activities in Mason County!

Donors provided $6,820 and this was matched with $2,632 from the Community Foundation for Mason County during Match Day on August 5th.

As grant funds become more limited in the coming year due to state and national budget crises, these funds will help our Conservation District to keep conservation going in our community. About half will go towards future hazardous waste collection days, and the rest will be applied to conservation district operations and activities like erosion control, water quality protection, and forest management.
