The National Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) is offering cost-share options for streambank and shoreline protection through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program. This program allows landowners to implement protection measures to mitigate erosion along streams, constructed channels, and shorelines. Protection measures range from re-vegetation of the bank to tree revetments and rock riprap. The Mason-Lake Conservation District is partnering with the NRCS to assist landowners with eroded streambanks in Mason County or the west half of Lake County. If you are a landowner who wishes to have a technician come out and access your erosion and provide advice on solutions or cost-share, please contact Jerry at This email address is being protected from spambots.
