The Mason-Lake Conservation District is conducting a cell phone recycling fundraiser. There’s nothing to buy. We are simply asking you to protect the environment by donating your used digital cell phone (s), working or non-working.
There are over 65 million cellular phones stockpiled in U.S. households creating 30,000 tons of potentially hazardous waste. Cell phones contain toxic substances including Arsenic, Antimony, Beryllium, Cadmium, Copper, Lead, Nickel and Zinc which leach into soil and groundwater from landfills and form highly toxic dioxins & furans during incineration.
Your used cell phone(s) may be tax deductible and will be recycled in accordance with EPA regulations or refurbished and sold. 100% of the proceeds will help fund Mason-Lake Conservation District’s Educational Program. For more information call 231-757-3708 ext 3. |

Recycle for a Better Tomorrow
The use of Ink Jet cartridges is increasing rapidly. If you are presently using Ink Jet technology and are throwing your used cartridges away, please call us.
The Mason-Lake CD has “mail-in” bags, that are pre-addressed and have proper postage. Each time you change your printer, fax, plotter, cad, etc. cartridge, please consider recycling. The District receives a small check twice a year for cartridges which are recycled. This money goes into our Educational Program.
For more information or to request some “mail-in” bags call us at 231-757-3708. Your help in this recycling effort is greatly appreciated! |
