Clean Sweep/Household Hazardous Waste Disposal

The Mason-Lake Conservation District, in conjunction with Manistee CD, Oceana CD and in cooperation with the Michigan Groundwater Stewardship will be offering a Clean Sweep/Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Day on September 13, 2008.  This service is provided to the residents of Manistee, Mason and Oceana Counties and is made possible by the contributions of funds and time by many governmental entities, businesses, organizations, and foundations.  Participation will hopefully be free again this year but may depend on the amount of funds raised. Donations are important to us!

This is a ONE DAY ONLY event on September 13, 2008 and No early or Late Drop offs will be accepted. More details will follow. If you have an organization with an upcoming event and would like the informational brochures to distribute or a presentation about the program,

please let us know.

The Household Hazardous Waste Committee holds a meeting every 4-6 weeks and anyone is welcome to participate.  Our next meeting date is April 1st at 9:30 am at the Ludington Area Chamber Office (at the airport).  The committee is made up of various citizens of the 3 Counties, from private individuals to governmental officials.  If you would like more information about being a part of this committee

call us at 231-757-3708x3.

You are cordially invited to the
