Sandy Mix

 

This is a mix intended to be planted in sandy soils with full sun.  It is intended to have a carefree, unplanned effect, with blooms of various heights and colors.

This mix is perfect for that area which gets only dappled sunlight in the transition area between the deep shade of the woods and bright sun of the meadow or your yard.

Native Grass Mix

 

Mix of Big Bluestem, Little Bluestem, Indian-grass & Switchgrass. Add this mix to your wildflower mixes to create a prairie, or grow this mix on it’s own for the stunning appearance of our native grasses. They provide excellent habitat for ground nesting birds.

Canada Wild Rye

 

This cool season native grass prefers full to partial sun and moist to dry conditions.  It will adapt to practically any kind of soil.  This robust grass readily reseeds itself.  If planted during the spring it can develop culms with flowering spikes during the summer or fall of the same year. Grows 3-5’ tall.

Virginia Wild Rye

 

This graceful cool season native grass grows in full sun or in shade.  Excellent for stabilizing disturbed soils in woodland situations.  Particularly well in slightly moist soils along woodland streams and floodplains.  Reseeds readily. Grows 2-4’ tall. Both species of wildrye can be used for cover crops when seeding to the slower establishing warm season grasses.
