Recycling
The Mason-Lake CD is collecting cell phones, laser and inkjet printer cartridges to raise money for our education program. We are simply asking you to protect the environment by donating your used cell phone(s) and ink/laser printer cartridges, working or non-working.
There are over 65 million cellular
phones stockpiled in U.S. households creating 30,000 tons of
potentially hazardous waste. Cell phones contain toxic substances
including arsenic, antimony, beryllium, cadmium, copper, lead,
nickel and zinc that leach into soil and groundwater from landfills
and form highly toxic dioxins and furans during incineration. You can drop any of these off at
our office in Scottville at 655 N. Scottville Road, or collect them
and bring them to the
Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day
